Qingdao, China

-by Lingling Cao; 28 Aug, 2004

Qingdao - a beach city in the middle east of China, the city is famous for its beer "Qingdao Beer" - the best beer in China.

I have been to Qingdao around 6 years ago. In my memory it is a city with yellow sand beach, not so impressive... If you have been to Sanya in China, you will not like the
beach in Qingdao... But it is still good, because of the food, people and views there... and also because of the annual Qingdao beer festival, which adds a lot of activities to this city

I got a better impression from Qing dao this summer... it has changed so much, so many high buildings on the Hongkong Road, I feel like in Shanghai Pudong somehow... The price in Qingdao is around half from Shanghai... Sea food is unbelievable great and at a very reasonable price...

Qingdao girls are in general taller than in Shanghai, with quite good figure, I have to say. Maybe thanks to the sea, they swim a lot? :-)

I have never enjoyed swimming in the sea like now, I found it is so much fun to just swim in the wave, without stopping, as if I were floating, without feeling tired or scared like years ago when I first time swam in the sea... Tireness only comes when I get out of the sea... :-) I begin to love sea...this is a new feeling for myself... I like the sea before, but could not open myself totally to the sea... This time I find I have no fear any more for the sea... I find I love and I dream of swimming in the sea... If feels free... very free...

One of my old friend from north China is living in Qingdao - Lin yu hong, there is nothing happier then meeting an old friend to have a long chat with on beach...
